JD TIRE is a fast paced full service automotive repair shop and tire store that is in need of an experienced service advisor or counter person.  We offer a competitive hourly base rate and monthly bonus pay plan commensurate with experience.

Our automotive service advisor must communicate accurately to the technicians regarding the vehicle issues presented by the customers, and also provide proper communication back to the customer as to the necessary service / repairs and recommended maintenance.


This position is responsible for accurately estimating costs for all work to be performed on a repair order – materials, labor, total repair time, and presenting to the customer in an informed manner. The service advisor will stay in contact with the customer with updates until the job is completed/paid for. The final invoice must be reviewed for accuracy and completeness to the actual repairs performed and explained thoroughly to the customer.  The service advisor is responsible for assisting the manager in maintaining the shop work flow schedule to be profitable, efficient and effective.  Other responsibilities include handling telephone inquiries, cashing out customers, ordering and scheduling wholesale tire deliveries and other duties as assigned.


Previous service advisor experience preferred, prior technician experience valued.



  • High school graduate or equivalent, 18 years or older
  • Computer literacy
  • Ability to multi-task effectively / efficiently
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
