Laboratory Equipment Preparer
High School Diploma + 2 years’ experience or Bachelor's Degree Equivalent prepared by a qualified U.S. credential evaluator. Install, service, repair, maintain, calibrate specialized equipment for the laboratory animal industry (rack/cage/tunnel washers, autoclave/sterilizers, bedding dispensers, disposal systems, robotics, changing stations, IBS hoods); operate, test, inspect equipment to ensure quality control, proper selection, acceptable electrical/mechanical interfacing, compatibility with existing equipment; examine equipment to detect malfunctions, conduct preventive maintenance, perform repairs as needed; maintain records of diagnostics, calibration, testing, repairs; train personnel in proper use/operation of equipment. 2 international trips to Italy (~2 weeks/trip) and 3 U.S. trips (~4 days/trip) per year required for conventions.
