* Plans, directs, coordinates, and evaluates the daily operations of the Human Resources Department and Resource Pool for North Mississippi Medical Clinics (NMMCI), Vein Clinic, Pain Clinic, Bariatric Clinic, Ortho Trauma Clinic, Garfield Clinic, and Neurosurgery Clinic, CV Surgery, Retina Clinic


* Supervises, oversees and coordinates the daily activities of the Human Resources Coordinator and Resource Pool
* Recommends hiring, corrective action(s) and dismissal of staff
* Evaluates and provides coaching to employees within scope of responsibility
* Responsible for scheduling Resource Pool staff

Employee Relations:

* Counsels and provides direction to Management regarding the interpretation of Personnel Guidelines
* Ensures uniformity and clear understanding
* Mediates while participating as a third party member in grievances filed in Human Resources


* Coordinates Orientation/In-services
* Attends, demonstrates, and participates in required in-services
* Provides training for Clinic personnel as necessary


* Organizes the payroll process for the Clinics (i.e. pay changes, personnel-related maintenance)
* Coordinates employee data changes in conjunction with Employment Services and Payroll Departments
* Ensures accurate and timely processes of data changes
* Oversees and monitors the API Time and Attendance System to ensure proper consistency with payroll guidelines

Retirement Plan/Benefits Administration:

* Serves as Plan Administrator for the NMMCI 401K and Money Purchase Pension Plans
* Coordinates the maintenance of NMMCI employee benefits


* Established recordkeeping system to comply with various legal requirement; maintain confidentiality
* Prepare statistical and quality control data reports

Selection/Retention Process:

* Develops and initiates the selection process for internal/external hiring; recommends qualified applicants
* Assists Managers in the interview process when necessary

Employee Recognition Coordination:

* Assist in coordinating, implementing and maintaining employee recognition and service award programs

Budget Management:

* Prepares and maintains Resource Pool budget


* Responsible for upward and downward flow of information between clinic staff, administrative staff, and NMHS staff

Regulatory Compliance:

* Adheres to NMHS/NMMC Policies/Procedures/Guidelines
* Complies with applicable Local/State/Federal policies/procedures/guideline/regulations/laws/statues


* Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or related field; required
* Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Human Resource Management role for a large health services; required
* Working knowledge of Mississippi Unemployment Law, EEOC, State and Federal Laws relating to employment matters; required
* Minimum of 1 year accounting and payroll experience; preferred
* Excellent organizational skills; required
* Excellent customer service and communication (written and verbal) skills; required
* Working knowledge of computers, computer software programs (i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook) and Data Entry; required
* Excellent interpersonal skills; required
