Yamhill County has one regular full-time position for a Crisis and Criminal Justice Supervisor working in specialized programs of Adult Behavioral Health. Responsibilities include program implementation and evaluation, teaching professional techniques and skills, and providing consultation and information activities encompassing a wide spectrum of community agencies and professional disciplines. This position provides administrative and clinical supervision in combination with the leadership team to Human Services staff as designated by the manager, supervises other Human Services staff and students, may exercise partial supervision over clerical personnel, and provides leadership to less experienced staff. Duties also include oversight for QMHA and QMHP staff who provide services for adults with mental health needs, including trauma, alcohol, and other substance abuse problems. Will coordinate and monitor caseload assignments and productivity, in addition to providing clinical supervision based on the licensing board regulations and Oregon Health Authority contractual mandates. THIS IS A NON-BARGAINING POSITION
The position requires a Master’s degree from an accredited school of social work and at least two years of clinical work in a setting relevant to the duties and skills noted above. Preferably, able to supervise licensure candidates toward professional licensure per the requirements of the professional licensure boards in Oregon. In addition to experience and leadership and/or supervisory roles, content knowledge of Pre-Civil Commitment Investigations, Aid and Assist laws and processes, acute care admit processes, jail diversion practices, community crisis management, and knowledge of local resources is preferred. A Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) credential is also preferred. Any satisfactory equivalent combination of experience and training which ensures the ability to perform the work may substitute for the above. Additional preference will be given to those who are bilingual in English and Spanish. Will be subject to successful completion of a background check.

The successful candidate must be able to do the following: identify precipitating events, gather family histories, perform social and work relationship assessments, conduct mental status examinations, document a five-axis diagnosis, write and implement treatment plans, conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, and provide individual, family, and group therapy. They must be a high-energy, mission-oriented leader who exhibits excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing. They will possess excellent customer service and problem-solving skills, the ability to multi-task, flexibility, and an ability to learn County policies and procedures quickly. They must also be self-directed, detail-oriented, and possess the ability to work and interact with staff, clients, and members of the public in a courteous, professional manner.
