Pastor Job Description:

Plan and conduct worship services; prepare and deliver sermons and lead in observance of the church ordinances.

Overseeing staff training and development.

Maintaining efficient and effective lines of communication between the staff and elders.

Providing leadership to the pastoral staff in the design and implementation of all church ministries.

Working with the Personnel Team to implement salary reviews and recommendations.

Conduct counseling sessions. Perform wedding ceremonies and conduct funerals.

Lead the church in planning, organizing, directing, coordinating and evaluating the total program of the church.

Lead the church in an effective evangelism program and in a caring ministry for those in the church and community.

Lead in an effective program of visiting members and prospects.

Pastor Skills:

• Being able to work independently. 

• Having interpersonal skills.
