The Louisa County Sheriff's Office is accepting applications for the full time position of Deputy Sheriff. Applicants must meet the minimum hiring standards set by the Iowa Law Enforcement Council. These can be located at https://ileatraining.org/

Certified Law Enforcement Officers are encouraged to apply. Pay will be commensurate with training, experience, education and military service. Current Certified Law Enforcement Officers will not need to conduct a physical test or written exam. A sign-on bonus as well as a contract reimbursement payment for ILEA certified Officers is negotiable. Current starting pay for an uncertified Deputy is $24.56/hour with (6) pay scale increases, as well as specialty pay and shift differential.
