Yamhill County Public Health has one regular full-time position for a Family Wellbeing (FWB) Strategist to organize and convene community-wide activities that improve the health and well-being of Yamhill County families. The FWB Strategist will work closely with community-based organizations to align systems and efforts across the spectrum of prevention and intervention to address the needs of families in our community. Duties will include health promotion, public information and education, technical assistance for community events & coalitions, social policy support, and performing technical and professional-level health promotion functions including data collection & analysis; preparing reports & printed materials; developing policies; designing, organizing, implementing, and providing advice on, and evaluation of, the effect of health promotion programs and strategies designed to support and modify health related behaviors of individuals, families, organizations, and communities.  

This position is eligible for remote/hybrid work with some on-site requirements.

The Qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree in health education, public health, community health, social work or related field is required.  A master’s degree in public health or related field is preferred. CHES or MCHES is preferred.  Bi-lingual and bi-cultural proficiency in interpreting and translating in Spanish language is preferred.
 
Special Requirements:
The State of Oregon requires all Health Services and Clinic employees to complete their COVID-19 vaccination series or have an approved exemption to the requirement due to a medical condition or sincerely held religious belief. Successful candidates for this position must submit vaccination documentation or be approved for an exemption prior to their first day of employment. Failure to provide proof of full documentation or receipt of an approved exemption will lead to withdrawal of the job offer.
 
 The Candidate:
The successful candidate will have experience or academic preparation in public health programs; excellent leadership, teamwork, and communication skills; and proficiency in computer use including Microsoft Office Suite, Publisher, PowerPoint, or equivalent and basic office software. The successful candidate will be dependable, organized, self-directed, detail-oriented, and will possess the ability to work in a team environment and to interact with co-workers, clients, and the public in a courteous, professional manner.
