Director of Public Works
The Town of Adams is seeking resumes from qualified applicants to fill the Director of Public Works position. The ideal candidate will be a skilled professional with a civil engineering background and experience with municipal maintenance and public works operations. The DPW Director manages a staff of approximately 20 employees and is responsible for the comprehensive maintenance and repair of publically owned streets and sidewalks, sanitary sewer system, storm water collection system, flood control system, cemeteries, parks, Town-owned buildings, and the repair/maintenance of vehicles and equipment. Must be familiar and experienced managing a full range of community services efficiently and effectively. This position demands strong budget and management skills, team building, and the ability to develop creative solutions to address community needs. Bachelor's Degree in a field related to civil engineering, public administration, or management with a minimum of five years' progressively responsible experience in public works operations, civil engineering, construction, or any equivalent combination thereof is preferred.
