A highly responsible professional position in social service administration and planning, intended to provide general oversight of the area agency’s service and administrative programs within program service area (PSA)
This is a full-time position with varied and complex duties requiring diligent and responsible actions, good judgement and initiative involved in problem solving, goal setting, scheduling, planning and interaction with individuals, groups and agencies. The position requires an individual able to work independently with minimal supervision, using clear, concise oral/written language, interpersonal and public relation skills. Computer skills and knowledge of or ability to learn specific software applications are essential.
Five years of experience in an administrative capacity and a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in the social or behavioral sciences or related field. Knowledge and/or experience may substitute for a degree at the discretion of the Area Agency on Aging executive board. A person with prior experience in the field of service delivery to the elderly under the Older Americans Act and state funded programs will have an advantage. Good benefits. EOE. Drug Free Workplace.
SALARY RANGE: $60,000 - $85,000 annually.
