Pay range: $9.56 to $12.73 per hour

Under the direction of the Library Director responsible for establishing a high-level of customer service by positively interacting with school aged children as well as internal customers and co-workers. As a direct point of contact for customers, the Children's Services Assistant is responsible for welcoming young library patrons to the Lake Park Public Library, performing basic service requests and resolving routine questions as they pertain to the Library's youth services.

The Children's Services Assistant is also responsible for playing a significant role in facilitating children's activities and programs including reading and using children's materials commonly found in libraries, and in the presentation and maintenance of the children's collection. High School diploma or GED equivalent with at least three years of experience working with school aged children are required. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Access & PowerPoint & have experience in the use of computer technology.
