Assistant Project Director
The NURTURES grant-funded project is a partnership to create a complementary, integrated system of science education for grades PK-3. The NURTURES Assistant Project Director works closely with the PI, Co-PIs, Project Director, staff, graduate assistants, coaches, and facilitators to direct and or oversee various professional development, research, and reporting functions of the grant.
The Assistant Project Director is responsible for assisting the Project Director with the professional development, coaching, and family engagement aspects of the grant. This position will oversee administrative research functions for the grant including drafting all IRB documents, which will be approved by the PI before submission. The Assistant Project Director will coordinate teacher and student assessments, gather associated data, code video data using the SCIIENCE instrument, and prepare summary research progress reports. This position will also be responsible for managing and preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual reports required by the funding agency, which will be approved by the PI before submission.
Master’s degree (preference for Master’s degree in a science or education field);
Past experience with data collection, progress reports and/or compliance reports (preference for past experience working on large-scale grants);
Past experience working with educators (preference for experience working with PK-3 teachers);
MUST be certified in SCIENCE instrument use or be able to pass SCIENCE instrument training and certification within 60 days of hire. Failure to demonstrate or obtain SCIENCE instrument certification within 60 days of hire will constitute immediate dismissal from this position.

Ability to communicate clearly, both in written and oral form;
Skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email, and other digital communication tools;
