President & CEO of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Chattanooga

 

A national search has been launched for the next President and Chief Executive Officer of the Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) of Greater Chattanooga. The President & CEO exhibits visionary and results-oriented leadership to provide families with the care and resources they need when their child is sick and to offer programs and services that directly improve the health and well-being of children.

 

The President and CEO works collaboratively with the Board of Directors to ensure that RMHC of Greater Chattanooga’s fiscal, operations, fundraising, marketing, human resources, technology, and programmatic strategies are effectively aligned and executed throughout the organization.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Strategic vision and leadership

  • Collaborate with the board to implement and regularly review the strategic plan objectives while ensuring that the budget, staff, and priorities align with RMHC’s core mission 
  • Provide inspirational leadership and direction to all staff members and volunteers, and ensure the continued development and management of a professional and efficient organization 
  • Cultivate a strong and transparent working relationship with the Board and ensure open communication about the metrics for financial, programmatic, and impact performance as aligned with milestones and goals 
  • In partnership with the Board Governance Committee, develop a diverse and inclusive Board that is representative of the community served, is highly engaged and willing to leverage and secure resources 

 

Development

  • Ensure that the flow of funds permits RMHC of Greater Chattanooga to make continuous progress towards the achievement of its mission and that those funds are allocated properly to reflect present needs and future potential 
  • Formulate and execute comprehensive marketing, branding and development strategies that provide consistency throughout the organization and enhance revenue from major donors, foundations, and corporations



Infrastructure and operations

  • Support and motivate staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality services while managing for current and future growth 
  • Facilitate collaboration and strengthen internal communications with staff throughout the organization; create and promote a positive, multicultural work environment that supports consistency of the organization's strategy, operational methods, and data collection
  • In coordination with the Finance and Endowment Committee, oversee the financial health of the organization including developing long and short-term financial plans; monitoring the budget and ensuring sound financial controls; setting financial priorities for the organization to operate in support of the needs of the program and staff

 

Program Development

  • Evaluate and measure the effective delivery of programs and cultivate new and existing partnerships
  • Increase efficiencies and consistency throughout the organization by developing and implementing standardized programs, services, and marketing 
  • Serve as the administrator of the Scholarship Program, ensure consistent and fair appraisal of each applicant, and serve as contract administrator with the Community Foundation for the scholarship program.

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • B.S. in business administration or non-profit administration with minimum three years of executive leadership experience, or equivalent education and experience. 
  • College course work in the areas of human resources, social services or organizational management or equivalent experience in the workplace is desired. 

 

The ideal candidate will have exceptional planning and organizational skills, strong leadership skills, and experience in coordinating multiple projects and accomplishing work through managing others. They will be outgoing, compassionate, flexible, assertive, trustworthy, and professional, with the ability to comfort and manage people during periods of personal trauma.
